Spread the word! The Superior Court is accepting applications for 2015-16 Superior Court Law Clerk positions. The law clerk position is responsible for performing legal research and writing assignments to assist the Justices of the Superior Court, for a one-year term running from August 31, 2015 through August 31, 2016. Duties of the position encompass every aspect of court procedure and all legal issues within the Superior Court's civil and criminal jurisdiction. A reliable car and the willingness and ability to travel to courthouses throughout the Commonwealth are requirements of the positions. There may be an opportunity to apply for an additional one-year term.

The posting applies to positions in both eastern and western Massachusetts. Law clerks rotate among different courthouse locations, so a reliable car is a requirement of the clerkship.

Keeping in Touch with the Law Clerks Society
So far, over 140 past and present law clerks have registered for the Society and requested information and updates about future events. To keep everyone informed, we will be relying on a number of online resources.
First, we will send out an e-mail newsletter, which you already may have received, to provide brief, periodic (monthly or quarterly) updates. If you do not wish to receive our e-mail newsletters, please e-mail masslawclerks@gmail.com with the word "Unsubscribe" in the Subject line and we will remove you from the e-mailing list. Second, for more detailed and frequent updates, we will be using this blog. We hope you will check in often.
