Two More Nominated to Superior Court

On December 1, 2010, Governor Deval Patrick nominated two New Bedford litigators, Renee P. Dupuis and Raymond P. Veary, Jr., as Associate Justices of the Superior Court. This brings to five the number of pending nominations to the Superior Court (see "Three Nominations to the Superior Court," posted October 26, 2010).

Attorney Dupuis is the Chief of the Criminal Bureau of the Attorney General's Office. She served for 21 years in the Bristol County District Attorney's Office where she was First Assistant, Chief Trial Counsel, and Chief of the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit. She is slated to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of The Honorable David A. McLaughlin.

Attorney Veary is a veteran prosecutor with 24 years of service in the Bristol County District Attorney's Office. Prior to joining the District Attorney's Office, he maintained a private civil and criminal practice in New Bedford. He is slated to fill the vacancy created by the retirment of The Honorable Richard F. Connon.
